The Blue Force 2 is a premium comfortable liveaboard that was completely refit in 2019. The ship operates from Sharm El Sheik in the north of the Red Sea. The ship can accommodate a maximum of eighteen divers, with double occupancy in nine cabins.
All cabins have air conditioning and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The lower deck has five standard double cabins with two beds and these cabins feature portholes. The upper deck has four superior double cabins with two beds and these cabins feature exterior windows. The main deck has a common relaxation area and dining room with a flat-screen TV, DVD, and entertainment center. Outside, there are two sundeck areas with lounge chairs, one covered on the Solarium deck and another area on the bow. Wi-fi service is also available.
The boat takes two routes: a North Route and the Wrecks and Reefs route. The North Route is in the Egyptian Red Sea and is great for discovering Red Sea diving. It is great for all diving experience levels however some dive sites are recommended for advanced open water level certified divers. The furthest dive site is only two hours away from port and guests can explore reefs in Ras Mohammed National Park and the Strait of Tiran. Divers can also explore the famous SS Thistlegorm and other wrecks such as the Dunraven and the Kingston. There are abundant coral reefs found in dive sites such as Small Crack and Shag Rock as well as an opportunity to snorkel with dolphins. The North Route offers seven nights with five full days of diving. The last day offers a land tour to explore the shops in Sharm el Sheikh. The Wrecks and Reefs route explores all of the same sites but offers an eight-day trip and six full days of diving.
All diving from the Blue Force 2 takes place from two zodiac tenders. Divers access the tenders from the dive platform at the back of the boat. The dive deck area includes individual storage for divers, a setup table for camera gear, and gear rinse tanks. The boat offers divers S80 tanks with DIN/INT fittings. S100 tanks, double tank S80 with a manifold, S40 with shortcuts, and sofnolime for rebreathers are available. Nitrox is available to EAN Nitrox certified divers. The ship offers rental gear and limited service for rebreathers and trimix with advanced reservations.
The liveaboard package includes cabin accommodation on a share basis, full board meals, non-alcoholic beverages, air or nitrox tank fills, one night in a 5-star hotel in Sharm El Sheik half-board accommodation. Lower deck cabins 1-5 are standard, upper deck cabins 6-9 are superior.

Dive Conditions

Diving conditions in the Red Sea are idyllic, with water temperatures rarely falling below 71°F/22°C even in the Egyptian winter (December - February). Topside weather conditions are equally pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 68°F-104°F (20°C -40°C) depending on the time of year.
Located in the Middle East, the Red Sea is a northern offshoot of the Indian Ocean. While these bodies of water share many of the same habitats and marine life, the Red Sea has evolved to provide unique habitats for numerous endemic species. Due to little rainfall, high evaporation, and a relatively isolated location, the Red Sea has one of the world's highest rates of salinity. These same factors also provide excellent diving conditions, and the Red Sea boasts a phenomenal 360 dive days a year. Furthermore, the Red Sea has few river tributaries feeding into it, which means limited microalgae allowing excellent dive visibility.
Diving is available in the Red Sea year-round. However, March to May and September to November are often cited as the best times to visit. Topside weather conditions are comfortable and the sea temperature isn’t too cold during these months, but this also attracts many other tourists, and dive sites can be extremely busy. During June, July, and August, uncomfortably hot topside temperatures mean resorts are quieter, but it's still worth considering since you may encounter hammerhead sharks on the outer dive sites.
Shore dives from the northern resorts and beaches are generally organized by the inhouse resort dive centers, and many offer unlimited diving on their house reef. Day trips out to Ras Mohammed and Tiran usually offer two or three dives from a day boat, often at busy sites with a lot of other divers and snorkelers. Many divers opt for a liveaboard trip which gives better access to remote areas where there are no crowds. Dives are generally from the back of the liveaboard or from tenders which take divers close to the reefs. Many Red Sea dives are drift dives, so the use of a safety sausage is mandatory.
