Don Questo Liveaboard Sudan

The Don Questo was built in Selby (England) in 1964 as a trawling vessel. In 1984 she was transformed into an oceanographic research vessel under the Italian flag. In 1991 she had a complete overhaul but it was in 1998 that the Don Questo was fitted out to become a diving liveaboard ship. The Don Questo is the only ship running in Sudan that has a one-person recompression chamber on board. The Don Questo is running 4 different itineraries, the Northern Route, Central Route, Southern Route, and the Deep South.

I was very happy. It has been my second time on the same route and I really enjoyed this a lot more. Boat was very big spacey, crew was very sweet, diving instructors were very attentive and experienced and nice. Only critisism I would say was boat could be a little more cleaner. But this boat was much cleaner than the Emperor superior I had used before So I think Cassopeia was the cleanest you can expect in Egypt

Just a taste of the trip….
Fly into Maumere in Flores and after a short journey enjoy your check out dive on the island of Babi. This is a good opportunity to get your eyes hunting for small creatures like hidden frogfish and colourful nudibranchs.
Dive in Waiwewong on the west coast of Lembata. This muck diving haven is set against the backdrop of the volcanos that line these islands. Rhino City is named for the much sought after Lacy Scorpionfish.
Beangabang is a small village on the south east coast of Pantar and an iconic macro dive destination. With a mixture of reef slope and black sand there are plenty of critters and juveniles to enjoy.
Once you arrive in Alor the entertainment continues with children from the local villages. The morning dives are on current rich reefs like The Cathedral and Tanjung Ela Lara. So keep your eyes open for pelagics before moving into Kalabahi Bay to dive the black sand slope at Mucky Mosque for the afternoon and night dive.
The volcano island of Pura will send visiting ladies selling their unique weaving. The current rich waters around the island have a variety of dives; Valley of the Clowns with its carpets of anemones; Pak Jans Village as a cool macro dive and Mandarin Wall for a dusk dive.

Maldives Deep South Shark Trip - Carpe Vita Liveaboard

We have the last remaining cabins on a Maldives charter on the Carpe Vita, our favourite ship in the Maldives. First class all the way…! This charter is 11 nights from February 28 to March 10, 2016. Rates on this trip: Main Deck Cabin = $4,549 and Lower Deck = $4,329 USD per person. Fuel surcharge $100 per person, Green Tax $66 per person, Nitrox $200 per person.
This itinerary requires a one-way domestic flight from Addu (GAN) at the end of the trip at an approximate cost of $260 per person.
Male to Addu on the Carpe Vita
ITINERARY 1: MALE – ADDU (11 NIGHTS)
Atolls covered: South Male, South Ari, Vaavu, Meemu, Thaa, Laamu, Huvadhoo, Fuvahmulah and Addu
This unique 11 night trip will be starting from Male and end all the way past the equator in Addu. On this 11 night trip South Ari atoll is added. Guests will require a domestic flight back after the trip from Gan (Addu) to Male airport or from Male to Addu to join the trip. The routing is suitable for experienced divers only due to the currents and number of channel dives involved. The routing is focussed on seeing lots of sharks including possible thresher and tiger sharks, hammerheads, whale sharks and mantas plus the possibility of seeing the rare Mola molas (sunfish). The map below gives a tentative overview of the routing, but will be weather depending. Because of the distance that needs to be covered this trip will only provide 3 dives a day instead of the package of 4 normally offered on the Carpe Vita.
