Maldives Master
Sailing across the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, the Maldives Master is your passport to one of the most awe-inspiring dive destinations on the planet. With world class amenities, comfortable accommodations, and itineraries that put you face to face with mantas, whale sharks, and vibrant coral reefs, this 42-meter liveaboard is more than a boat—it’s a full-fledged dive resort at sea. Whether you’re chasing the adrenaline of a high-speed channel drift dive or drifting lazily over a manta cleaning station, every moment aboard the Maldives Master is designed to deliver maximum wow factor, both above and below the surface.
After a full day of underwater exploration, unwind in one of 14 well-appointed cabins. Each features an ensuite bathroom, individually controlled air-conditioning, and extra towels for a little touch of luxury. Superior Double (Main Deck): Spacious cabins with ocean views and double beds—complete with a bathtub for soaking in serenity. Superior Twin/Double (Upper Deck): Enjoy beautiful views and roomy ensuite facilities. Beds can be arranged as twins or a double. Premium Twin/Double (Lower Deck): These versatile, cozy cabins convert easily between twin and double layouts. Premium Single (Upper Deck): Ideal for solo travelers—comfortable, private, and just steps away from the best views on the boat.
Spanning three decks and accommodating up to 26 divers, the Maldives Master offers modern comfort and generous space for rest, play, and of course—diving. Onboard, you’ll find: Indoor air-conditioned lounge and dining areas; A shaded mid-deck outdoor lounge; Four unique sun decks, including a spectacular ocean deck at the stern; On-deck jacuzzi for post-dive relaxation; Bar and sky lounge for evening cocktails and marine-life recaps. One of the Maldives Master’s most popular features is the ocean deck, which sits low and close to the water. After sunset, floodlights illuminate the sea, attracting plankton—and with them, feeding manta rays and whale sharks. It’s not uncommon to sip a drink while watching these gentle giants glide just feet away.
The Maldives is a bucket list destination for a reason. With 1,192 islands scattered across the Indian Ocean, the area is a magnet for pelagic life and vibrant coral ecosystems. Expect drift dives that whisk you past sharks, mantas, eagle rays, and more. Think manta cleaning stations, colorful thilas, and reef walls pulsing with life. The Maldives Master sails four itineraries ranging from 7 to 10 nights: Central Atolls - Ideal for first-time visitors, this route takes you through North and South Male Atolls and Rasdhoo. Expect shark sightings, eagle rays, turtles, and endless reef fish. Central Atolls & Baa - This extended itinerary includes the famous Baa Atoll, home to Hanifaru Bay, where manta rays gather in massive numbers. Perfect for divers seeking both reef dives and pelagic action. Central & Southern Atolls - Covering a lot of ocean, this one-way adventure spans South Male, Vaavu, Meemu, Thaa, Laamu, and Huvadhoo atolls. With strong ocean currents fueling rich coral growth, this route is loaded with life—jacks, tuna, sharks, rays, and more. Far South - Looking for something extraordinary? Dive on both sides of the Equator with stops at Huvadhoo, Fuvahmulah, and Addu Atolls. From tiger sharks and silver tips to vibrant reefs and wreck dives, this is the frontier of Maldivian diving. Expect strong currents and big rewards.
Master Liveaboards offers pre-bookable extras like Nitrox, gear rental, and even course add-ons, so you can customize your trip before you even step on board. From the warm hospitality to the jaw dropping marine life, the Maldives Master delivers an experience that feels both thrilling and indulgent. The Maldives Master offers nitrox for EAN-certified divers but does not support rebreathers or tech diving (try-mix) gases.

Dive Conditions

The conditions are generally good all the year around Maldives. Air temperature is 26°C to 32°C year-round. The average water temperature ranges from 27°C to 30°C year-round. Divers can expect visibility from 15m to 40m depending on the season and location. The visibility is not as good during the rainy season, May to August. Currents depend a lot on tide and location, and ranges from none in the lagoon to very strong in the channels. Dive depths range from 5m to 40m. The coral reefs are shallow and most of the dive sites are between 10 and 20 meters deep.
Due to the medium to strong currents, drift dives are common. Often divers have to do a negative entry, which means the moment you enter the water, you must descend to the bottom. The Maldives is recommended for the intermediate level or experienced diver. Because of the depths and currents, dives in the Maldives are usually 45 - 50 minutes for many divers. There are many dives sites which are suitable for novice divers as well which are protected from the currents, and novice divers can do drift dives on the long reefs not affected by tricky currents.
