Yap Pacific Resort is one of the premier resorts in Micronesia, rated Micronesia's Best Resort from 2005-2012. Yap Pacific features lush tropical gardens in terraces from the hotel level to the restaurant, then to the activity center, then down to the dive center and to Chamorro Bay. On the ridge level, the hotel offers twenty-two spacious rooms situated with spectacular views overlooking Chamorro Bay. At mid-level of the resort you will find the restaurant and café, bar, and freshwater pool. The resort features a Tree Terrace built into a very old Indian Rain Tree available for relaxation during the day and romantic dinners at night. At sea level, guests find a fountain made in the 1880's by the Spanish seafarers, and the dive center and pier located on the shores of the Bay. The dive center is Micronesia's only SSI Diamond-rated dive center.

The resort features four restaurants: Trader's Lounge and Grill, the Pool Side Café, the Beach BBQ, and the King and Queen Dinner. At Trader's, located upstairs facing the ocean, guests enjoy time spent with locals enjoying an amazing array of dishes and the best drinks on the island. The Pool Side Café is a Viennese café house where you can enjoy fresh-baked pastries and your favorite espresso while relaxing. The Beach BBQ offers a reservation dinner cooked on the beach around a campfire served along with local folklore and gentle breezes. The King and Queen Dinner is a 5-course gourmet meal privately served on the tree terrace. Here guests enjoy international specialties served by a private waiter in a secluded outdoor lanai setting.
Yap Pacific offers four room categories: Patio rooms, Veranda Ridge rooms, Veranda Ocean rooms, and Grand Suites. The six Patio rooms are located on the ground floor and open on to private patios. The six Veranda Ridge rooms are located on the second floor and offer views of the northern hills of the island. The eight Veranda Ocean rooms are located on the second floor and offer stunning views of the Southern Garden, swimming pool, and Chamorro Bay. The Grand Suites include a spacious living room, master bedroom, and dressing area with the ambience of tropical Victorian residence. Located on the first or second floor, these beautiful suites have views of the Southern Garden, swimming pool, Chamorro Bay, and the surrounding hills of Rull. All rooms are tastefully decorated in Victorian style and feature Yapese artworks.
Yap Divers Pacific is Micronesia's only SSI Diamond Resort. SSI courses from beginner level to SSI DiveCon are offered. All dive classes are taught in three languages, English, German, and French. Nitrox is offered for free to all nitrox-certified divers. Yap Pacific pampers divers – the staff will handle dive equipment from arrival to departure. Dive gear is set-up before the first dive in the morning and rinsed and stored after the last dive in the evening. The dive shop is housed in a Victorian-style building located on the shore of Chamorro Bay. This building was specifically designed and built for the requirements of divers. Guests reach the dive center by walking a few stairs or the shuttle will bring guests from the lobby to the dive center.
The resort is located close to the Yap International Airport and offers free transfers to and from the airport. Guests can also enjoy WiFi, complimentary bottled water, conference room and facilities, car rental, laundry, massages, and catering services.



Dive Conditions

Scuba diving in Yap is all about one thing – manta rays. Yet, glorious though these creatures are, there is much more to experience.
Diving is available year-round. The best way to plan a visit is to decide what you would like to see. In the summer months, it is wetter, but the best time to see dolphins and pilot whales. If you want to visit Yap to experience manta rays, then between December to April is the best time to visit. This is the manta ray mating season.
Water temperature stays in the 80s (27 C ) year-long. Visibility can change drastically in the channels from 20 - over 100 ft ( 6- over 30 meters), while outer reefs hold a more consistent 100+ (30m+) visibility.
